Emily and Scott’s wedding broke one heck of a record for us! Their wedding exceeded the amount of photos I have ever taken at a wedding! Why did this occur? Emily had a GREAT schedule and had planned for some fun picture time too. Emily and Scott are two very easy going, fun people and it was a pleasure being around them and their families. We started the morning at the new and awesome Swagger Salon in Teutopolis where Jessie completed the bridal up-do of awesomeness (I over use this word, I know). One of my favorite makeup artists to work with Kaitlyn Hartke completed Emily’s flawless and very natural wedding look and then we were off to the church! We had ample time to get in some great bridal portraits of Emily in her elegant and classic gown and Doug and Josh with Key-Films were able to get some great video of the details and ceremony. Following the wedding we shared a touching moment with Emily’s grandmother who was unable to attend the wedding day. We loved that Scott and Emily took time out of their big day to spend time with her, it was incredibly sweet. One of the many highlights of this wedding was taking photos at the stunning Austin Mansion, newly acquired by Walnut Street Weddings. This is going to be an incredible and unique venue and Doug and I cannot wait to photograph a wedding there in September. Thanks to Billi and her team this mansion has a TON of photo options and immaculate grounds. It was an absolutely please being able to shoot there. The reception at Bishop Hall had some awesome speeches and some great moments and we were even able to sneak out for some sunset shots. It was hard NOT to dance during their reception because the DJ had the floor hopping! You could hardly move on their dance floor! Thanks to my friend Haley (who left a smoke bomb on my door step earlier in the week to use in the next photo shoot) we were able also to do another smokey night shot with Emily and Scott to wrap up the evening! Congrats Emily and Scott! We are so very happy for you and wish you many years of wedded bliss! Stay tuned for their wedding trailer from Key-Films!
