Jenna and Patrick | Wedding @ St. Mary’s Church, Shumway IL

Where do I even begin with this wedding day? Let’s start with the fact that it had to be 900 degrees the day Jenna and Patrick said “I Do.” With the cooler weather of the last few weekends prior to their wedding we thought the bulk of the summer weather had passed us by but boy were we wrong! We started the morning off at Styelz where Jenna’s sister Brittany completed her bridal up do and of course did a fabulous job as she always does. Jenna had a great schedule planned which allowed us ample time for bridal portraits as well as a first look between herself and Patrick and a first look with her dad. I normally don’t get too emotional at weddings (even though I’m a big softie) but I have to say when Patrick saw Jenna for the first time I was holding back the waterworks, it was such a touching moment. Jenna looked ridiculously beautiful for her wedding. She chose a cathedral length veil (which scores major photography points) and the perfect dress for her personality. Everything was just stunning! Patrick was such a fun easy going guy during the engagement session we knew we were going to have a great day with them both. The ceremony went beautifully and despite the heat following the ceremony we were able to get in some outdoor portraits of the couple and bridal party. Because the heat was so intense earlier in the day, we stepped out of the reception for a few moments for some sunset portraits. Jenna chose a fantastic backdrop for her reception along with perfect details which made her reception photos just pop. We were so happy and honored to be chosen to document their wedding day and it was great working with both families involved.
