Samantha and Derek | Wedding @ The Carriage House, Altamont IL

It was a beautiful day for Samantha and Derek’s wedding day. We were really looking forward to shooting this wedding because we knew how much work Samantha put into all of the details of her wedding. We knew when we met this couple they would be SUPER easy to work with and I know that Samantha was commonly reading my resources on my blog (which is good, everyone should check out the resources)! The wedding day started at the forever awesome Foxy Styles where our former bride Alicia (hair ninja) created Samantha’s wedding day look and our friend Kaitlyn Hartke did a fabulous job on Samantha’s makeup. From there we had preparations and formal pictures at the ceremony/reception site The Carriage House in Altamont. From the moment I walked into Samantha’s already decorated reception hall it had the WOW factor. Janet at the Carriage House did a fabulous job making the reception look beautiful with little touches and details. The wedding cake was also very detailed and stunning. Samantha and Derek got married in a sweet ceremony inside the Carriage House with DJ and Up lighting services provided by our friends at Fully N Volved. Samantha did a FABULOUS job planning time for pictures and we soaked up every opportunity for shots including some with the famous puppy Rocco (AKA Rocco Taco). Rocco even got to ride in style on my lap to the first picture spot (and Samantha, you’re lucky I didn’t take him home with me, he’s a sweetie pie). Thanks to Samantha’s careful planning we were also able to get in some sunset shots as well. The wedding reception was fabulous with catering services provided by Niemerg’s AND Joe’s Pizza (yes, double the yumminess) and Fully N Volved had the party hopping. We had a GREAT time at the wedding it was so laid back and fun. Thanks to Samantha and Derek for allowing us to document your special day!
