Kory and Tom | Wedding @ North Beach Park, Muskegon MI

I don’t even know where to begin to start explaining the awesomeness of Kory and Tom. These two are just CRAZY about each other and it made for some magical photos. Doug and I had not even ever been to Michigan so we were really excited for a change in scenery when we headed up north. Kory and her bridesmaids went to a local salon where Kory used to work to get their hair done and then it was off to Kory’s parents house for makeup and preparations. The weather was shaky all morning with on and off rain as the day continued on. Kory’s mom had a BEAUTIFUL house with some killer natural light spots that I instantly became obsessed with. Once at the ceremony site at North Beach Park the weather had cleared and it was a beautiful breezy day on the shores of Western Michigan. Right as the wedding ceremony started however a small pop up shower provided  a steady mist through the entire ceremony. As you can see in the photos, the rain was consistent but didn’t stop Kory and Tom from smiling, laughing, and exchanging their vows through the constant mist. It was actually quite beautiful. Kory and Tom then took us to the spot of their first date, the Kirby House in Grand Haven, MI and we took some natural light photos inside and even did a little marking of the walls (See below). The reception was held at a local golf course and there was a special surprise during the father daughter dance. I would probably rate this father daughter dance quite possibly the sweetest, funniest thing I have ever seen. A night of touching speeches and dancing completed the night of this amazing wedding day. Kory and Tom, thank you SO much for allowing Doug and I to be a part of your day. We were honored and we can’t wait to share with you the video trailer that Key-Films is working on right now. We wish you many years of happiness, enjoy your honeymoon!

*On a side note, Doug and I took a quick trip further north to visit the Little Sable Point Lighthouse the day after the wedding and we were able to take some amazing shots of the lighthouse and from the top. Will be posting in the blog later this week!
