It has been a few weeks now since we have shot a full wedding and we got right back into the swing of things with the wedding of Jill and Kyle. We were really excited to again work with these two and their awesome bridal party and the day was absolutely beautiful. Someone asked me today why I feel so strongly about shooting weddings and I thought a little about my answer. What I came up with was that I feel passionate about documenting and protecting the most important day of someone’s life. I know that I have been entrusted upon to make sure things run on time, to capture beautiful moments, and to ensure the couple has a great and memorable day. I take that job pretty seriously and I absolutely treasure some of the amazing moments we have had shooting weddings. There are times when things like weather or interference’s can threaten to disrupt that goal but I’m thankful to have been graced with some wonderful couples who know how to go with the flow when needed.
Jill and Kyle were two very laid back and wonderful people. We started the morning with Jill and her girls at Branches Salon where Carrie created her classic updo and Katrina Smith created a stunning makeup look for Jill. We headed to the Austin Mansion for prep and photos and once again the mansion gave us an absolutely stunning backdrop for preparations. We headed to Teutopolis for the ceremony and were able to get in a large group of formals prior to the wedding. We enjoyed hanging out with the bridal party on the party bus and while taking group photos at the Austin Mansion again. We had perfect weather! We headed to the beautifully decorated KC Hall in Effingham (decorated by the fabulous Walnut Street Weddings) to enjoy the reception. Jill had chosen some beautiful backdrops and entry way pieces that completely made the look complete. The couple also chose to have an ice cream brownie sundae station that was a HUGE hit for their wedding guests. Ryan from Complete Music provided the epic DJ services for the evening and kept the party hopping all night long. We had an absolutely wonderful time working with this group again and we know the future is very bright for them!
Congrats Jill and Kyle!
