Megan and Andrew | Wedding @ Carriage House, Altamont IL

What an amazing wedding day we had last Saturday! I can’t say enough positive things about the couple, bridal party, and venue! Megan is such a beautiful person inside and out (and seriously, she was a bombshell the day of her wedding) and I’m pretty sure she, Andrew, Doug, and I could be besties (true story). We had SOOOO Much fun with them on their wedding day, it hardly felt like work at all. The morning went so smoothly at Branches Salon where Katrina Smith and the hair team at Branches created the AMAZING looks for the bridal party. Seriously, Megan was stunning. We loved that they scheduled so much time for pictures following their first look which allowed us to avoid rushing and trying to take all of their pictures after their later afternoon ceremony. We also greatly appreciated their small bridal party. We feel that a smaller bridal party makes it more intimate, involves less stress for the couple, and in general works out best for just about every scenario (photography, transportation, etc). We had beautiful weather where we could just relax, walk around, take our time with pictures and get some really fun stuff. We loved that we also had time to get two different photo “looks” for the couple (some more outdoor, natural and then some more urban looking settings). Again, as always, Janet and her team at the Carriage House did an amazing job with décor, hosting, and organization. We always know we are in great hands with Janet in our corner. The couple was so natural and loving together, there would be times we were gathering our gear from the car and they would be just standing there being cute, it was impossible not to have the camera on “ready” alert the entire time, even while unloading gear from the trunk. The reception was organized and exciting thanks to the DJ assistance of Brad Miller and the meal was great thanks to Niemerg’s Catering.  Holli’s Flower Shop did an amazing job on the cake and the brides mother made the most amazing cupcakes ever (seriously, delicious). We loved so much that their schedule made photography a priority and we hope that the results of that are everything they hoped for. We had so much fun taking the photos and we know that they will have a long and happy life together.

Congrats guys!

-Kate and Doug
