We knew without a doubt that the wedding of Brittni and Dan would be a fun and memorable one and we weren’t wrong in that assumption. We absolutely love this couple from the moment we met them and since the time we spent the morning with them during their engagement session in Dayton, Ohio. We ended that session eating donuts and wishing for cheeseburgers and their wedding day brought about a lot more fun. We started the morning at Branches Salon telling stories and sharing in a lot of laughter to calm Brittni’s nerves as she got her hair done. We got to hear funny stories and catch up with all the bridesmaids and it was nice that we knew almost the entire wedding party by name as I had went to school with several of them, including Dan the groom. We headed over to Molly’s house for some bridal makeup and breakfast where we caught up with the family and watched Brittni transform into a beautiful bride. Brittni wins the award for the year so far for heaviest dress however it was just absolutely stunning on her and made her look like a bridal queen. She had a memorable first look with her father and we started on some formals prior to the wedding. The wedding ceremony was so sweet and you can tell in the photos the couple was so happy and in love. After the wedding we had some great outdoor photos planned for the couple that included silly string, ninja turtles, and some ugly dolls. Because this couple was so fun and loved to laugh we felt the little bride and groom dolls that my dad found a few weeks ago would be perfect fun props for their wedding day. The groom also included one of his ninja turtles from childhood to shoot their rings with and also we felt silly string was in order for this particular group. What I love about this bridal party was that we knew almost all of them personally and that we will be spending another wedding with this group in the fall when one of the groomsmen (Phil) gets married. We absolutely can’t wait. We also headed to downtown Effingham to get a few more pictures before heading to the reception at the absolutely beautiful Keller Convention Center. Katie is hands down the best coordinator and does a magnificent job decorating the room. Because of this attention to detail we were able to score some great photos of the couple during their cake cutting and first dances. The couple also chose to have a popcorn buffet which was a huge crowd pleaser. We were able to get in a few night shots and some hilarious dance photos at the reception and we had an absolute blast shooting this wedding. Special thanks to Kayla from Kayla Elizabeth Photography in Martinsville for once again helping us out on this awesome day, we appreciate all the amazing photos you took and assisting Key-Films with the couple’s awesome trailer that will be shared soon! It was hard to not just stick around and dance all night but I knew I had to finish this blog before heading out for a week-long trip. Brittni and Dan thank you both for allowing us the honor of documenting your day, it was definitely a great day and we loved sharing it with you.
Have fun on the honeymoon!
