What an amazing fall day and fall wedding! I’ve known Brienne here for a quite a while now and she is part of one of the sweetest families ever. We couldn’t have been happier to spend our day with her and Blake as they said their vows and threw an epic party. Once again, we felt like photo magic was much easier to happen on their wedding day because they had complete, 100 percent trust in us to do our thing and make them look good in pictures. We were blessed to be joined by our NEWLYWED 2nd shooter Kayla Williamson York who joined us for her first wedding with us since her own wedding. She captured some magic on her camera which we have also included on this blog. She’ll probably also be happy to know that I have just finished editing her wedding from last month 🙂
Back to Brienne and Blake: We love these two, they are seriously awesome. On their engagement shoot I balanced Brienne’s AMAZING engagement ring on the nose of their sweet dog and fast forward to the wedding day I got to hear Blake say such sweet things about Brienne. When I commented during post wedding ceremony photos that “wedding photos are really the only thing you have from your wedding day that you get to keep” Blake’s response was “well, I get to keep my wife too…” Cue the Aww’s……. We started the morning at Studio 165 where the awesome team there created hair and makeup art for our bridal party and made them look absolutely stunning. In fact, I heard several comments throughout the day that they were one of the best looking wedding parties anyone had ever seen. The bridesmaids had these incredible unique dresses that just make the photos pop with sparkle and color. Nothing says awesome like a navy suit and a bow tie too, I mean come on. The wedding as held at the beautiful St. Anthony Church where Fr. Chris gave a beautiful homily for their wedding mass. Brienne and Blake did a beautiful first look before the ceremony which gave us ample time to do outdoor portraits before and after the ceremony. We headed to the Effingham Country Club which has some meaning to the couple and shot photos on the most perfect, sunny day. We headed to the Effingham KC Hall where we were greeted with impressive flowers and centerpieces and a beautiful cake. Complete Music provided the entertainment for the evening and we were again treated to another fantastic meal by Niemergs (seriously you guys, come cook for me every night). The bride, groom, and guests danced the night away and laughed hysterically to speeches by the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and Father of the Bride who gave the BEST golf joke I’ve ever heard. We were so glad that Brienne asked us to photograph this day, it was such an easy going and fun day and I think that when we have weddings like that it really shows in the photos. Congrats Brienne and Blake, we are thrilled that you have found happiness together and we hope that you enjoy that honeymoon!
