We ended our July with the enjoyable wedding of Ashley and Mark! We have a history with this couple as Mark (the groom) is first cousin to Doug (my husband) and also was in my high school graduating class! I have also known Ashley for a very long time and we were honored to be a part of their special day. We had a very relaxed morning at Dimensions Salon in Effingham where the talented Carmen created Ashley’s bridal up-do. We thankfully ran ahead of schedule (which is always a relief on a wedding day) and had ample time to take before church formals at the beautiful St. Anthony Church. What I love about this church is that you can take stunning photos inside and outside on the grounds. Ashley had an absolutely stunning bridal gown (something I would have chosen for myself) and looked absolutely beautiful as she came down the aisle with her dad. The couple had some very special touches during their ceremony and we also loved their adorable wedding programs. We were able to include the Harley Davidson Motorcycles in some of the pictures which had special meaning for the couple and their bridal party. Even though it was a hot day we also got to take a few outdoor photos at a local park before heading to the reception. The couple chose to have a cookie bar instead of a wedding cake and we thought that idea was awesome (we love cookies). The dance floor was full and hopping thanks to the excellent DJ services of Fully N Volved DJ Service. We love working with Jaz and Kayla from Fully N Volved because we know they will also keep other vendors in the loop and do their best to make an event run smoothly for all involved. We had a great evening at the dance and it seemed that everyone had a great time. Congrats Ashley and Mark, we were glad to be there on your special day!

* I have had a few comments/emails about my previous blogs from relatives and friends asking “Where’s the picture of so and so?” Just a note on our blogs in general: I take thousands of pictures at a wedding, if blogged every single photo, I’d never get anything done. Our blog is meant to be a “snap shot” of the couples big day through which photos are pretty randomly selected (and I really mean that, completely random). The goal of our blog is to focus on the couple and the bridal party. We don’t always sneak in family photos, if we do, there is typically a reason or couple request. We try to avoid including a lot of family photos in our blog on purpose (and if you saw the amount of email I get, you’d understand why). This doesn’t mean however that we didn’t take or won’t deliver those photos to our clients. Our couples get a LOT of images, and no worries, they include all of the family formals we took at the church.
