It was pretty much the moment we met Caitlin and Trent that we knew that their weirdness combined with our weirdness would result in a great relationship. We are so glad that life has brought these two wonderful people into our lives and that we had the opportunity to form a friendship with them and be a part of their special day. Caitlin is kind of like my life twin in a way as we have a lot of similar personality traits and when it came to wedding planning Caitlin did exactly what I would have done: she sought the advice of professionals and experts, had trust in her vendors, and had a great schedule. I think her organization and just the pure genuine love she and Trent have for each other is the reason that these photos look so care free and relaxed: its because they both were. What a great morning we had starting at Branches where I got to know the bridal party and catch up with Caitlin on the antics of “Frank the Tank” the couples adorable golden doodle who I am obsessed with. We headed to the Carriage House for bridal prep where the couple exchanged pre-ceremony letters to each other and the bride had a sweet first look with her father. We are so thankful to some of our friends in the area that so graciously allow us the use of their property for weddings because it just makes for some beautiful backdrops and this wedding was no exception as some of our kind hearted neighbors and friends allowed us the use of their land for photos. We had a great afternoon for photos as the rain was shoved out of the forecast and this bright and beautiful day replaced it allowing for some epic clouds and some nice warm sunshine coming in. The couple had a very beautiful ceremony spread at Lake Sara complete with a unity knot ceremony, some sweet tears from our groom (Trent you da bomb man), and lots of family love. The couple headed off into married bliss in a classic car and we got to incorporate silly string, confetti, and some T-Rex’s in the couples array of wedding photos. The T-Rex’s probably need an explanation for those who don’t know that Trent’s last name starts with “Rex” and the couples hashtag for the wedding was #shesmarryingatrex. We found it hilarious so much so that we brought along some dinos to include in the wedding photos. We are a little bummed that Frank the Tank (aka the couple’s golden doodle) wasn’t the ring bearer for the wedding but its probably safe because if he had been I would have probably stolen him and taken him home with me. The Carriage House served as a perfect backdrop for the couples reception and had beautiful decor and the most delicious pie table EVER. The couple danced the night away to the DJ services of our good friends Jaz and Kayla Sain from Fully N Volved. It was such a great day, we are absolutely loving this fall season and we hold this couple very close to our hearts as our clients and now our friends. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
Congrats Mr and Mrs. T Rex!
