LAST. WEDDING. OF. OCTOBER.
I know many of my photographer friends are celebrating right now that they have made it through the busy October photography season and we are definitely on that celebratory train. We can’t celebrate too much though, we have a bit of editing to get through before the holidays. Sweet Elizabeth and Nick rounded out our favorite month of the year for pictures with an absolutely beautiful wedding on the most perfect of fall days. Seriously the weather was amazing, it was warm and breezy with beautiful fall trees and perfect clouds. We started the morning with Elizabeth for her updo and she was very calm and relaxed throughout the morning as we laughed and talked about the groom and all of the wedding day activities. She’s one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet and it was very clear to us by the full church and reception hall that this couple was very loved. We headed to the church where preparations continued and we were able to photograph the intricate details of the couples big day. We had plenty of time in our schedule to get both indoor and outdoor portraits of the bridal party and allow the couple time to exchange letters before the ceremony. Nick’s face as Elizabeth walked down the aisle was everything and the ceremony had some sweet moments of the couple exchanging smiles. The fun continued as we headed to the most perfect outdoor location for post ceremony pictures and even though the sun was setting fast and we had a bit of a drive to the reception we were able to pull out some portraits that I think the couple will be happy that we said “just another five minutes” before jumping back on the bus. I think sometimes on wedding days people feel like five minutes is really 15 but when I look through the time stamps on the outdoor photos that we took after the wedding at the couples picture location I see that we only spent amount 32 minutes on pictures. Doesn’t seem like a lot when you consider all of the bridal party portraits that were included and the movement we did around the property there but we feel like when you invest just a little bit of extra time the results can be excellent and are pieces of art that you can proudly display in your home and pass down to your children. We had a great meal at the reception provided by Niemergs and we watched the couple enjoy some memorable speeches and some very special first dances. We adored this couple and how genuine and in love they were, they were a joy to work with on their big day. We wish them many years of joy in their marriage.
