We ended 2015 on a high note with the wedding of Jenna and Chad. We normally don’t take weddings on Thanksgiving weekend due to family commitments but we instantly liked this couple and just had to do it. Jenna was one of the most relaxed and laid back brides we have ever had. It amazes me how this type of personality can make a wedding day just so much better. We had a really chill morning hanging out at Branches salon while Carrie created the brides beautiful updo. Once makeup and hair was complete we headed to Sacred Heart church where the bride and groom did their first look. We were able to get in all the family pictures and formals before the ceremony which really helped us save time especially since it is getting dark so early now. After the wedding we were able to take some pictures with the couples absolutely adorable golden doodle puppy. They are lucky I didn’t just take off with that sweet little guy, he will melt your heart. We had a lot of time after the wedding to head to the beautiful Tuscan Hills Winery for some outdoor pictures and some relaxation. The wedding had a great flow and a great schedule and we have to throw a big thank you shout out to Katie Koester (the event planner at the Keller Convention Center) for making the entire day, from start to finish, run smoothly. Seriously, everyone should have a Katie Koester. She’s amazing, true story. The wedding party was a fantastic bunch to work with and we had such a relaxed time taking outdoor photos. We headed to the Keller Convention Center for the reception and again were able to utilize the beautiful space for more photos of the couple. The reception was so beautiful, complete with personalized signs and décor and as always Katie and her team at Keller outdid themselves. The speeches included a song melody from the maids of honor that had everyone in the crowd laughing. The dance floor was completely packed and Chad and Jenna had an unforgettable day. We can’t thank them enough for allowing us to document their day and being so trusting and laid back about the entire process. We really think this approach leads to a far less stressful day and even more time and options for pictures. Chad as most people know is a professional baseball player (totally awesome right?) and we loved how they incorporated little pieces of that into their reception. Doug and Josh wish Key-Films documented the day and will be sharing with you their wedding trailer in the coming weeks, I have a feeling its going to be amazing! I also was assisted again by the lovely and talented Kayla from Kayla Elizabeth Photography and she has proven to be a very valuable and talented asset to us the last two years, we are so lucky to have her! We had an AMAZING 2015 full of weddings and our 2016 is shaping up to be another busy year with another amazing group of couples. We can’t wait! In the downtime we plan to enjoy slower and quieter weeks and plot more greatness for 2016. Congrats Jenna and Chad!

The amazing photos below captured by our favorite Kayla from Kayla Elizabeth Photography. I had some technical difficulty in adding the photos to the blog this round so I had to add them on to the end!
