Jill and Kevin | Wedding @ Bishop Creek, IL

We are getting to about the mid way point with our wedding season this year and we are loving every minute of it. We are much busier than normal right now working to get all of our weddings returned back to our clients and we sure have had some amazing weddings this year. This past Saturday was a HOT one but it didn’t matter because we worked with two very awesome people: Jill and Kevin. To describe this couple as laid back and chill would be an understatement, they just were really great to spend the day with. The morning went smoothly at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Effingham which was a beautiful backdrop for hair and makeup to be completed for the bridal party. We visited with Jill and caught up with a few familiar faces at the hotel while we snapped the getting ready preparations. We headed to the beautiful and elegant St Aloysius Catholic Church in Bishop Creek where we photographed Jill’s beautiful wedding gown and watched as she transformed into the most beautiful bride complete with my all time favorite: the cathedral length veil. We tell people a LOT that you can’t have epic veil pictures without an epic veil and we absolutely go NUTS over cathedral length veils. I could seriously write a novel about them. Jill and Kevin had a beautiful ceremony and we couldn’t help but notice all the adorable kids in the audience doing adorable things. We braved the afternoon heat and took some photos outside of the church before heading into Teutopolis to take a few more of just the couple. It is so nice as the bride and groom to kind of step away from the madness a bit and just enjoy the picture taking process because honestly that’s really the best time to just take a deep breath with your new spouse, enjoy the day and thereby creating some fabulous shots. This is also one of the reasons we like to get in sunset or later evening pictures when we can. The reception was held at the Effingham KC Hall where the brides decor and cake created a beautiful atmosphere for the reception. The couples bridal party was extremely fun to work with and very cooperative and we thank them for braving the heat like champs. We enjoyed spending the day with Jill, Kevin, and their families and we know they will have a long and happy life together.

Congrats to you both!
