When we arrived home from Paris last week we not only had to adjust to the 7 hours we lost in flight and the 2 hours of time changes we had gone through while we were gone, we also had to get back into wedding photography mode. We were thankful that our return wedding was a beautiful late fall day with familiar faces and familiar places. Kayla and Michael gave us an absolutely beautiful day to photograph from beginning to end. We started the morning at Foxy Styles in Effingham where the top notch girls there did an amazing job on hair and makeup. We headed to Newton St. Thomas Church for the wedding ceremony and formal pictures. Kayla and Michael made everyone laugh mid ceremony as they attempted to put the wedding rings on the wrong hand and the morning of formal pictures couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Kayla and Michael opted for a first look which enabled us to get all of the formal shots done before the ceremony which opened up the beautiful afternoon for outdoor pictures on the couples farm. We took photos with the combine and on the couples property and it ended up being such a beautiful day for photos. The wedding party was so fun and entertaining; we had a blast taking relaxed portraits. We headed to the Teutopolis KC Hall for the reception where the entertainment was provided by Travis Kessler. He did a great job organizing the group and keeping the party going all night long. The couple did a great job with the hall decor and had a yummy popcorn and snack bar. There were hilarious speeches provided by the couples best man and maid of honor and we ended the night with another night shot. Kayla and Michael are two very caring individuals and so very laid back. We couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better couple to get right back into wedding photography mode. The day was absolutely perfect. We have one more wedding on the horizon for 2015 and then at the first of the year we start our season right back up again. A MASSIVE thank you to Kayla from Kayla Elizabeth photography for assisting us in this awesome day and providing us with some fantastic images of the day. We love that she helps us out and gets so many different angles and perspectives of the day. Thanks Kayla and Michael for just being plain awesome.
Congrats!
