When your photo besties get engaged, you take engagement photos and then plot DAYS worth of wedding photography coverage 🙂 You may recognize this Bryan guy as this super awesome photographer from Shelbyville (Gaddis Graphics) and his smokin girlfriend Kelley (who has always been in my phone from day one as Kelley Gaddis) who is his partner in business and crime. We have loved these two since the day we all met and I physically jumped up and down like a crazy person when they told me they got engaged in Aruba. Although I’m a little upset Bryan didn’t take me to Aruba with them to photograph the proposal I guess I can get over it since they are bringing us with them on their destination wedding to the Caribbean. The best thing about shooting other photographers is that I don’t have to explain to them my crazy, they already know. They accept it and just do whatever. The other great thing is that if you think two minds are great, how about four minds. We have such a good relationship with these two that we can bounce ideas back and forth about doing different things and even work together to pull them off. Bryan and I talked through a long exposure shot at night and after we ate dinner together we ran out and worked together to pull it off. I only had to lie on the ground for about 20 minutes but it was totally worth it 🙂 I also love that I don’t have to like ask them to take pictures for more than just the wedding day. If I get my way, we’ll be doing next day wedding pictures like all day with a few beverage stops in between…..
I absolutely can’t wait for this wedding to get here, we love destination weddings but we love them even more when we have two partners in photography crime to hang out with while we are there. I can’t even predict the epic-ness that will go down that glorious week in the sun. Congrats my friends on the engagement, glad we were able to get in some fall photos. Lets hang out sometime and wedding plan eh?
Much love,
Kate and Doug
