We had an awesome combination for our wedding last Saturday. It included: A groom that is a Doctor, a family dog that looked like a teddy bear, some amazing weather, a super cool bridal party, an ice cream sundae bar, and a trampoline….. and oh yes, we used the trampoline……
Michelle was just such an enjoyable bride to work with. She had a fantastic schedule that really emphasized the importance of pictures and we really appreciated her efforts. Because Michelle and Will chose to do a first look together we had some great opportunities to get not only ALL of their formal shots done before the early wedding ceremony but it also enabled us to get some photos done outdoors in the late morning when it was cool and not as warm as it is in the summer afternoons. We started the morning at Shear Designs in Effingham where the bridal party had their wedding day hair done followed by makeup with Loren Dreas (one of the most fantabulous makeup peeps in the area). The church in Teuopolis is so beautiful and because Michelle and Will had an earlier wedding ceremony we were able to utilize places in the church with natural light shots that we normally don’t get the chance to do with later weddings. The sun was in perfect spots as we shot photos around the church and on the church grounds with the adorable family dog Boo (whom I plan to steal and never give back). The wedding ceremony was beautiful and intimate and we really enjoyed working with the families and the bridal party. We took some photos on the church grounds post ceremony and then headed to our outdoor picture spot where we made use of the family trampoline and the barn where Will had proposed. The bridal party was pretty awesome, we got a long with all of them really well which made our job a lot easier and way more fun. We headed to the Effingham KC Hall where Michelle and Will had beautiful décor featuring champagne and gold colors which I can only hope will become the new elegant and classic Pinterest trend. They had the awesome idea of having an ice cream sundae bar in lieu of a wedding cake and shared their first sundae as a married couple. We absolutely LOVED the ice cream idea. We were able to get in an evening and night shot during the reception festivities and enjoyed the full dance floor and fun guests at the reception. We are especially grateful to be joined once again by the fabulous Kayla from Kayla Elizabeth Photography in Martinsville who as always gives us some great shots for the blog. Doug and Josh with Key-Films will have a wedding trailer to share in the next few weeks, stay tuned!
We are a little jealous right now we aren’t in Maui with the happy couple but we know they will have an awesome time without us 😉
Congrats Dr. and Mrs. Fombelle!
