Perfect weather, amazing couple, and a cute golden doodle in a tutu; that basically sums up our last wedding with Tara and Darin. We started the wedding day off with Tara at Swagger Salon in Teutopolis where the makeup and hair team did their thing and created absolutely beautiful looks for Tara and her bridesmaids. I instantly loved the bridesmaids’ sense of humor and stories about Tara, they had us laughing all day long. We headed to Bishop Creek to St. Isidore Church where we were blessed with a beautiful day full of sun and fluffy clouds. Tara was very relaxed despite the fact that she wins the award for most complicated dress of the year! She chose an absolutely BEAUTIFUL bridal gown which included some very challenging buttons to be hooked that weren’t elastic and that lined the length of her back. Once her team of family and bridal attendants took turns accomplishing the button feat, it looked absolutely stunning! We were able to spend the morning before the wedding taking family photos without the bride and groom seeing each other and thankfully the scheduled allowed us a few minutes to sneak outside for some pre-wedding outdoor photos. The couple also read letters to each other prior to the wedding and our new friends Jonathan and Janae from Holtz Films spent the day capturing the event on film. We loved meeting these new vendors and I’m sure they will have some great stuff from the day! I loved that Tara had incorporated so many fine details into her day from the writing on the bottom of her shoes to the intricate details of her bouquet. The wedding ceremony was so personal and touching it was very clear to us by the very full church how much Tara and Darin are loved by their family and friends. After the wedding the couple greeted their guests as a newly married couple to bubbles and wedding wands and we started the formal family picture process. The couple had their adorable golden doodle (in a bow and tutu) waiting for them after family pictures so that we could capture the sweetness of this beautiful puppy on their wedding day. I’m absolutely in LOVE with this dog! So sweet and cuddly! We were able to also capture some of Tara’s picture requests in the church before leaving for some family property for some fun outdoor photos. We were able to get some fun bridal party pictures done and also complete some family requested shots outside and we were able to capture photos of just the happy couple on this beautiful day! After taking a few portraits, the couple and their bridal party were ready to party so we headed to the Brickbat Bar and Grill in Teutopolis for some more relaxed and laid back candids. Tara requested the traditional “bridesmaids on the bar” picture which is always a favorite. We headed then to the Effingham KC Hall for the reception where beautiful accents of blush and gold were everywhere. We loved the couples stunning backdrop choice. The couple chose an amazing cake for their reception and their bridal party gave some wonderful and hilarious speeches. It was clear how much the couple was very loved by the large participation that they had for their dollar dance and the dance floor was full of adorable little kids that wanted to dance the night away! Kudos to the couple and their family on doing an amazing job decorating the KC Hall and turning this into one amazing wedding day. From all the details to the loving couple we had an absolute blast shooting the event!
Congrats!

* Just a note about our blogs! We absolutely LOVE documenting the entire wedding day and this blog represents a very small snapshot of the big day! We like our blogs to focus on the bride, groom, and bridal party so sometimes family photos don’t always make the cut. Never fear! We promise that all family formals taken will be given to the bride and groom once their images are ready!*
