Wendt Family | Family @ Altamont, IL

We have been busy busy with family photos this summer and I wish I could post ALL of them but if I did, I’d probably loose my mind! The Wendt family is one of my favorites because Owen has 1000 different looks and facial expressions. Some of my favorites were actually when he was in the back of the vehicle getting changed because he was just laughing and having a great time! This family is always organized and has everything planned out which is awesome for me because getting the family involved just makes it even more fun and his mom picked out some great props from home to incorporate into each theme. Some of the best family photos is when you get to record the “chaos” of having a family and those are my favorite types of photos to take. What I have learned from shooting families is that kids don’t always smile happily and cross their hands on their laps (this is rare anyway) its usually the running, playing, and even stoic faces that steal the show. These guys had a great time just hanging out and sometimes that’s just best. So if you are thinking of having family photos done, don’t stress just choose comfortable clothing and let the kids have fun (and if they get dirty, that’s even better). Working on some more family photos as well as a recent wedding for the next few blogs so stay tuned! The fall is COMPLETELY full for weddings and family photography this year so I am very lucky to have so many cool clients for the rest of my year!
