New Home Office | Kate Key Photography

I am so excited to finally share our new home office! This started off as a “hey, why not” kind of project beginning with our need to put some type of window treatments in our front office (because of bad glare) since we had never figured out quite what to do with our large front office window. After I fell in love with a yellow, grey, and white pattern for the curtains I managed to talk Doug into repainting the office and scoring some new desks. I had seen a picture on Pinterest that helped me with my color ideas. After a trip to Chicago, we had all the essential furniture and decor to make this office really our own! Doug actually picked out a lot of the decor that you see and I chose the desks, shelving, and curtains. My amazing friend Tanya, at Design Pro in Effingham matched my yellow accent paint to create my beautiful “Kate Key Photography” logo (the flowers on the canvas also match the curtains, she’s is amazing) and Black River Imaging printed the float mount that now holds my awesome logo! We couldn’t have done it without our friend’s Wes and Amy who helped us with a variety of things. Wes, the amazing handy man, put our TV on the wall which is nice because we spend most of our time at home in the office! Amy helped me place the decor, advise on paint colors, and even helped us move everything back into the new office. We plan to hang more canvas prints on the opposite wall but we are going to wait to do that until later in the summer. I love having the new organized space that helps us be more efficient and display all of the things we love. Even Charlie has his own bed in the office and is enjoying the space!
