Chelsey and Jake | Engagement @ Effingham, IL

Engagement season is in FULL swing. Fall is literally the most popular time for engagements and its obvious why. The color and weather is great, the sunsets are fantastic, and you just generally get to loving that fall feeling. While we wish we could take on EVERY job request for fall, we basically run out of hours in the day so we have to turn down a lot of family photos, senior photos, and other projects because we are so jam packed with Weddings and Engagements. Heck, we even have trouble getting all the engagement sessions in there because literally EVERYONE wants fall (no one loves spring 🙁 sad…). Chelsey and Jake are getting hitched next year and we spent a beautiful fall morning with them capturing all the love goodness. These guys laughed more than any other couple we’ve ever had. I’d put them into a pose or tell them to stand in a specific spot and they’d just bust up laughing together. There were so many great genuine moments of laughter I lost track. We shot the photos in the Lake Sara area in Effingham and had some great morning light to work with. I shot Chelsey’s sister’s wedding a couple years back and we are really looking forward to working with the family again. We know its going to be an amazing wedding. We love those go with the flow couples that don’t bat an eye when you ask them to do something specific for a photo and put their complete trust in you and that’s just what we got with Chelsey and Jake. Looking forward to the big day next year! Congrats on the engagement!
