We have had an insanely busy wedding season this spring and summer and we’ve been moving steadily through June with some AMAZING weddings. Hayley and Matt actually got married on the same June weekend that Doug and I got married on ten years ago. In addition, Hayley’s sister in law also got married on the same day Doug and I did so it was nice for this whole group to be together on Hayley and Matt’s big day especially since I’ve known Hayley since we were super little kids. We went through grade school and high school together and she’s always been one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. We instantly liked Matt, he’s the kind of guy you could hang out with all day long and completely enjoy and he’s absolutely a perfect match for Hayley. We started the morning with hair, makeup and the threat of rain but that quickly subsided into some good weather for outdoor photos following the ceremony. We got to laugh about old memories while Hayley got a beautiful bridal updo before we headed to her sister’s house for more makeup and prep. We headed to the church where Hayley and Matt had an adorable first look and that allowed us to get most of the family photos done before the ceremony. There were lots of guests that showed up to the ceremony to share their love with Matt and Hayley and we enjoyed their sweet vows that they wrote to each other. Hayley and Matt absolutely love St. Louis- everything from Ted Drewes to the Cardinals and Hayley also works at a local Chick Fil A so we incorporated as much of them into the wedding as possible with photography stops at the Chick Fil A (my dream come true), the Sculpture Garden, AND a nice fun drive to Ted Drewes for free ice cream. We had SO Much fun taking photos with this group, we are glad they had enough time to really enjoy the wedding day doing some of their favorite St. Louis activities. We loved shooting at the sculpture garden, it is so unique and cool! Giant eyeball anyone?! We headed to the beautiful reception after our city adventures and Hayley and Matt were introduced as husband and wife! They had some memorable speeches, some delicious Chick Fil A nuggets delivered by the Chick Fil A cow (which was QUITE the event), and they danced the night away with their family and friends all around. We are so happy they found each other and had a wonderful day, it will be one of our favorite weddings I’m sure! Congrats Hayley and Matt!
