How is it July already? Seriously wedding season goes by in a flash, I tell ya! We had been looking forward to Alicia and Eric’s wedding now for quite some time because this fun loving couple not only are lovely to photograph they are fantastic and grateful people to be around. I’ve known Alicia since my school days and Eric fits right into her life as her perfect match. They are the serious kind of couple goals. Their wedding day was gifted with PERFECT weather for July (cloudy, breezy, sunny and cooler than normal temps) and the whole day was just smooth sailing! We started the morning at Blend Salon in downtown Effingham where Alicia had her bridal hair style completed and it looked so perfect I joked that it almost looked like a physical wig. Every single piece was in the perfect place! The dress Alicia chose for her wedding, holy train Batman I’m obsessed not to mention the fact she scored the most perfect veil to go with it and we maximized that veil as much as we could throughout the photos. We headed over to Sigel Church to get ready for the ceremony and we have to give a special thanks to Jolleen Westendorf (Alicia’s bridal assistant) who went ABOVE AND BEYOND a normal bridal assistant in not only helping us through the process of photos (carrying the train, tossing the veil, etc) but she kept a super positive attitude which I think helped photos go just so much better. She assisted Alicia in getting ready and despite a earring incident, all was perfect during the morning preparations. We started morning photos, keeping the bride and groom separate but doing some very sweet first looks with the bridesmaids and her parents and we moved into the wedding ceremony where Eric had the sweetest reaction to Alicia coming down the aisle. It was a perfect moment. The ceremony went through without a hitch and soon the couple were waving to their guests driving away after an adorable exit. We resumed formal photos in the church, wrapped up and headed to this very unique bridge out in the country for some bridal party shots. Since the weather was absolutely perfect, I talked Alicia and Eric into a few more photos at the local park before heading over to the reception (note to all brides: always take advantage of fluffy clouds). Carriage House did it again! The place looked incredible and the colors Alicia and Eric chose were classic. We loved the decor as well as the food provided by Deb’s catering. Party on Productions proved to not only be an incredible DJ vendor to work with (keeping the bridal party under control and keeping us updated throughout the night) he was also a super cool DJ, keeping the dance floor full the entire night. Special thanks to him for helping the party run smoothly. We loved spending the day with Alicia and Eric and we know they are in Jamaica right now enjoying themselves and we hope that they have a fantastic journey in their married lives together. Congrats to you both, much love from the Key’s!
