We are still recovering from the fun of Alicia and Andy’s wedding day. One of the things we loved about this wedding day was that we were able to work with familiar faces and family. We have known the Buscher family for a long time now and we always enjoy a good Teutopolis wedding. Alicia is one of my favorite hair ninjas at Foxy Styles Salon in Effingham and we spent the morning literally taking over the salon with hair and makeup. Alicia is also superwoman, for real as she assisted with bridal party hair most of the morning. Alicia had her friends and co-workers present as she had her hair and makeup completed. She even assisted in doing her own flower girls hair (now that’s dedication)! Once ready, we headed over to St. Francis Church in Teutopolis for the wedding ceremony. With absolutely PERFECT sunshine and weather we took formal shots and were able to document some great bridal portraits. Doug with Key-Films rocked some wedding video and some portrait shots as well and the wedding ceremony went off perfectly. We took bridal party portraits in the downtown Effingham area as well as some local property and then we headed to the reception. Alicia had transformed the reception hall into a beautifully decorated reception with a perfectly lit backdrop. We loved the sweets table and seeing so many familiar faces. We did a “smoke bomb photo” repeat ( from a past wedding)with Alicia and Andy except this time we used road flares. We were able to sneak out to complete our night shot from the reception and then get back to the party. Stay tuned to Key-Films’ blog for a wedding trailer, coming soon! Congrats Alicia and Andy we had a blast!
PS: Shout out to the moms of this wedding, Happy Belated Mother’s Day and also Happy Birthday to the bride!!
