This really should be titled “The Adventures of Allison and Andy” because that’s basically what their wedding day was. I’m not kidding when I say I spent the ENTIRE day laughing, like my stomach muscles hurt the next day because I was laughing so much with this couple and their bridal party. The extent to which these guys like to have fun is infections and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. We started the morning with the bridesmaids at the hair salon where the bride and her friends told hilarious tales and poked at each other while they went through the hair and makeup process. I love how quickly we bonded with the entire group and we had a really beautiful June day to take outdoor pictures before the ceremony. Allison was simply stunning in her dress, it was absolutely perfect for her and I loved that it was one of the first long sleeved classic dresses I’ve ever had at a wedding. Adding the cathedral length veil was just icing on the cake! We were able to take outdoor pictures of the girls and guys prior to the ceremony and even make a pit stop with the guys downtown Altamont for some pork burgers. It’s not every day you have a wedding party showing up at a local event to eat porkburgers 🙂 The wedding ceremony was perfect and the couple beamed with happiness as they exchanged vows. It amazes me how quickly time can fly after a wedding ceremony. Before I knew it we were wrapping up outdoor pictures at a local park and heading over to the reception. Outdoor pictures were a dream come true because we had a perfect breeze, a beautiful couple and a very fun bridal party. Janet and the team at the Carriage House are just hands down the best at what they do as they had the Carriage House set up beautifully for the reception. We laughed through the couples speeches and enjoyed the delicious meal provided by Martins IGA (Mac and Cheese you guys= liquid gold that must be served at all weddings, seriously I hear its a major Pinterest trend) Complete Music provided the hopping dance floor and the guests were having a blast throughout the reception. We enjoyed this couple so much they reminded us so much of ourselves in that they just wanted to have fun and enjoy their wedding day and they didn’t really stress over anything. We love couples like that who really just entrust us to do our thing and it really shows in the photos when they are carefree and relaxed. Thanks Allison and Andy for trusting us to document your big day!
