Amy and Zach | Wedding @ Bishop Creek, IL

What do you get when you combine awesome wedding vendors with the most epic couple ever? A wedding for the ages! It’s hard to not make this blog a novel because our time with Amy and Zach started WAY before the wedding all the way back when Zach contacted us to photograph his proposal to Amy. Long story short, we FINALLY were able to get things lined up, fooled Amy and watched as he dropped to one knee and proposed to her with this giant diamond from Webers Jewelry. After I got over the desire to steal her ring and run into my car and keep it forever we started to get to know these awesome people and before you knew it, we were buddies. We enjoyed every minute of working with this couple and we know we ended up with the best result of all- new and lasting friendship.

The wedding day was finally here, after 2 years of planning, we were ready for the big day! We started the morning at Swagger Salon where the hair and makeup pros made our bridal party look FLY. We have gotten to know the family really well throughout this process too so it was nice knowing everyone and catching up. We headed to Bishop Creek where we started bridal prep and photographed Amy’s amazing dress. We were joined for this wedding by Carrie Goldstein from Carrie Goldstein Photography. Our second shooter Kayla York (Kayla Elizabeth Photography) has been super busy with her photography so we were glad to have Carrie along to help us out. She has a great talent and eye and we were happy to have her assistance. Amy and her dad exchanged a really emotional first look followed by Amy and Zach. We were so glad they did a first look, it allowed us to do a lot of portraits before the wedding and gave us a lot more time outside after the wedding. We photographed the amazing wedding details provided by Design Pro (That girl Tanya is dang incredible isn’t she?!) and enjoyed the wedding ceremony by Father Michael.

We headed to an amazing photo spot where we had giant fluffy perfect clouds and amazing weather. We made excellent use of Amy’s long veil and shot as many portraits as we could before starting the fun. We headed back to Bishop for the Reception where Billi Jansen and her team at Walnut Street Weddings had provided some amazing decor and the bride and groom had done an amazing job selecting their details and colors. We were greeted by the Amazing Zach Lorton from Complete Weddings at the reception and we knew we would be in good hands the rest of the night! He did an amazing job (as always) of running the show and incorporating some fun and hilarious events into the couples big day. We enjoyed this fantastic meal by Martin’s Catering and a lot of goodies including some baked goods by the grooms mom, Sandy and some yummy ice cream. We snuck out for some sunset shots and headed back to the reception for some more good times. All in all, this was a wedding of epic proportions. We couldn’t be happier for Zach and Amy and we’re a little sad the wedding is over now but we know we’ll be seeing them again, in fact, it will be at the airport Tuesday morning as they leave for their honeymoon and we leave for our next wedding adventure 😉 Nothing like 5AM airport buddies to hang out with!

Congrats Amy and Zach! Much love!
