Holly and Scott | Wedding @ First Christian Church Effingham, IL

What a classic, elegant couple Holly and Scott are! Holly blew me away with how kind and sweet she was and Scott is just the nicest guy you’ll ever meet (ever). We LOVED working with the both of them and their awesome families. It was such a nice day in December for our last wedding of the year with unusual 50 degree temps, it was nice to be able to enjoy it. We started the day at Mainly You Salon in Teutopolis for hair and makeup where Jesse (one of my favorite hair ninjas) did a classic updo for Holly. Kaitlyn Hartke once again did a stunning job on makeup for the girls and then we headed to the church. Holly had a very classy Grace Kelly style dress chosen and the church had some beautiful stained glass. It was nice seeing so many familiar faces at the wedding as we know some of Holly’s family as well as some of the guests which is one of the reasons why I love hometown weddings! After the wedding we were able to get in some outdoor photos before it got dark and the reception was held at the Keller Convention Center. The speeches from the Best Man and Maid of Honor confirmed what we had already observed about Holly and Scott, that they were wonderful, caring people. We had a great time at the reception and the wedding day was a complete success. Doug and Adam of Key-Films rocked some video for Holly’s wedding day and we will be displaying that trailer in the near future as well. Stay tuned!
