Caitlin and Jared | Engagement @ Sam Par State Park in Newton, IL

We lucked out for Caitlin and Jared’s engagement session because we didn’t get any rain! I think their session followed several days straight of rain and the ground conditions were pretty soggy (i.e., need muck boots for photography). They were troopers even when we ventured into a field and headed towards a cool local barn and the Earth was essentially trying to eat our shoes. I loved working with this couple because they went with the flow and when we found a cool unique spot (see above) that not everyone would think is as beautiful and full of character as I do, they completely worked it! I like random and I like different and some of the spots we found during this session fit the bill. We started out at Sam Par State Park in the exact spot that Jared had proposed and we worked our way to some photos in the downtown Newton, IL area. I had my lighting guru, Doug along for the ride as well and we had a great time. Thanks for spending a Friday evening with us Caitlin and Jared and we really look forward to your wedding day!
