We’re a tad behind on the blog due to some travel but we are catching up to the greatness that was the wedding of Emily and Drew. Quite possible the world’s sweetest and most lovable couple, we enjoyed capturing the natural, genuine love of Emily and Drew throughout the big day. We started the morning with hair and makeup prep at Gotcha By the Hair where Emily and her bridesmaids had a 90’s flashback morning listening to the best of Backstreet Boys and Aaron Carter while they prepped for the big ceremony. Emily had a beautiful makeup look created by Loren Dreas and looked absolutely stunning with her updo and beaming smile. We headed to Teutopolis for the ceremony at St. Francis where Emily chose the most stunning dress- it fit her perfectly and was 100 percent amazing. She and Drew had a really sweet and intimate first look in the beautiful chapel at St. Francis and we started right in with formal pictures, staying inside due to the windy cold outside. We took full advantage of the beautiful church’s natural light and beautiful spaces and enjoyed working family in and out of photos before the big walk down the aisle. Emily was smiling ear to ear (as was Drew) when it came time for her to take that big walk down the aisle. The ceremony went off without a hitch and was full of vows, sweet moments, and joy. We had ample time after the ceremony to wrap up some larger family photos before we headed for some outdoor photos on the church grounds (always a favorite spot) before heading on the party bus to soak up some celebration. Despite it being chilly, Emily and Drew were troopers and we were able to capture some beautiful outdoor memories for them- taking short breaks here and there before going outside again. We were also able to sneak away for a few more intimate shots in the trees before heading to the reception at the Keller Convention Center. Keller is always one of my favorite spots for a wedding reception, they have great food, an awesome staff, and it is always absolutely stunning. We were pleased to work again with Jaz and Kayla Sain from Fully N Volved DJ Service- they are just one of our favorite DJ vendors and always do a good job keeping the party flowing. We had a wonderful meal and watched some really sweet speeches from the best man and maid of honor- it was a room full of love and joy towards the new couple. The shoe game was probably one of the most agreeable and on-point displays I’ve ever seen- proving that Emily and Drew are really in sync. The dance floor was hopping all night and the guests had a blast celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. We were so happy to work with such a genuine, easy going and loving couple, it was an absolute honor to photograph their big day. We wish them many years of wedded bliss together!
