Emily and Max | Wedding @ St. Anthony of Padua Church, Effingham IL

blog96I know there are a lot of people anxiously awaiting the blog of Emily and Max! I absolutely LOVED this couple. We knew when shooting their engagement session that their wedding was going to be full of creativity and charm and we weren’t disappointed. We started the morning off at the family home where preparations included hair and makeup a long with a visit from Louie, the family dog. We have to give him a shout out because he was the worlds SWEETEST dog. We actually enjoy when brides get ready in a comfortable home as it gives us a better opportunity to incorporate family memories into the big day. St. Anthony Church in Effingham was the backdrop for this beautiful affair and although it was windy and chilly that day we had such a great and cooperative bridal party to work with which made the day SO enjoyable. Max’s family provided us some great property for on location photos after the wedding and the wedding party had some fun whipping around the yard in golf carts. Everything about this wedding was unique down to the portraits Emily and Max drew to represent themselves. I LOVED this idea and it will be such an awesome keepsake for them to cherish from their wedding day for years to come (plus the drawings were AWESOME). The Effingham KC Hall never looked prettier with decor and table settings provided by The Odd Bin. We absolutely LOVE the idea of vintage plates and decor and the Odd Bin can provide ANYTHING that you need from tableware to vintage furniture. There were so many touching moments during the reception but one that really stood out was the grooms first dance with his mother to a live rendition of “What a Wonderful World.” Emily and Max both really love music and throughout the day they incorporated this into their wedding from a live performance at the reception to a string quartet at the ceremony and reception. I’m sure that Emily’s family and friends will agree that she is a beautiful person on the inside and out and its was an absolute joy getting to spend the day with both families. Max is the kind of guy you instantly trust and feel like you could instantly be friends with. You can just SEE the love that these two have for each other in the photos, check it out! We want to give a HUGE special thanks to Kayla Williamson of Kayla Elizabeth Photography in Martinsville for assisting us and second shooting with us. She was a great help to us and has great talent! We look forward to working with her in the future! Also look forward in the coming weeks to Key-Films wedding feature trailer for Emily and Max! Thanks to Adam for being our second videographer and rocking yet again another great wedding day!

We wish you guys happy years and lots of them!

Congrats,

Kate and Doug
