The amazing weddings continue! Katie and Justin threw an amazing bash last Saturday complete with perfect weather, ice cream, and the most intricate reception details you will ever see! We loved working with these guys! Laid back, fun, beautiful, the whole shebang! We started the morning with hair and makeup with the lovely talents of some of the stylists from Studio 165 in Neoga. Katie and her bridesmaids had a wonderful morning hanging out and watching the rainy weather turn to sunshine and beautiful clouds. Katie had one of the most amazing and unique dresses and it fit her perfectly! We loved the couples colors and attention to detail, Katie had planned every unique detail and the results were amazing. We were lucky enough to get some outdoor photos in before the ceremony and enjoy some really beautiful weather all day long. The ceremony was beautiful and the church was packed with well wishers. After the newlyweds greeted their guests and exited the church into a stream of bubbles we finished up formal portraits and headed to some of the family property to shoot some outdoor photos. The bridal party really loved to have fun and we think that shows in a lot of the pictures. We love when bridal parties bring out their personality and we loved working with this lively bunch! Katie and Justin are absolute naturals in front of the camera and they interact so lovingly together shooting their first dance and reception was a dream. They are just really beautiful people inside and out, we were so grateful they chose us to document their big day. After shooting some outdoor photos we headed to the Carriage House where walking into the reception your reaction was “oh my goodness….” to the amazing picture display the couple had to greet their guests. I’ve never seen anything like it! The Carriage House staff did yet another amazing job making the reception look amazing and we could tell Katie put some amazing hard work into creating the beautiful details on the table and throughout the room. We enjoyed an other awesome meal by Niemergs catering, some scrumptious cake by Mary Niccum, and the always popular ice cream sundae bar by Homewood Grill (yum, seriously a huge crowd pleaser). The couple had an amazing first dance and it was hard not to shed a tear during the mother/son and father/daughter dances. Hats off to the Bride’s sisters who performed what I’m voting as the most amazing musical tribute to the couple I’ve ever heard. Not only can the bride’s sister SING like Adele (like seriously, I’m in love with her voice) she clearly sang a song she wrote while playing guitar in front of hundreds of people to honor her sisters big day. It was amazing, kudos to you all! Another cool aspect of this wedding is that they were aware that the Kentucky Derby was going on so they had it playing on the projector during dinner, how very cool! We watched the couple joyfully dance the night away and interact with their guests and we were so happy it was the perfect day for them. We also filmed Katie and Justin’s wedding day with the assistance of our videographer Tim and we can’t wait to share the trailer with you in the coming weeks! We had such a blast! Congrats Katie and Justin, we hope your wedding day was everything you wanted it to be!
