Its safe to say that Kayla and Michael’s engagement sessionwas full of interesting surprises……
If any of you have ever had us take your pictures before you might have heard my infamous “snake call” which I am convinced is an awkward enough noise to A: warn snakes of my presence and B: scare them away. Because I usually end up in fields, tall grass or in Kayla and Michael’s case walking through pretty wet conditions I am always scared I’ll run into my snake, which is number 3 on my fear list. Well, it finally happened and as I tell the story to people, the bigger the snake gets. As we were getting out of the vehicle at the second location, I opened my door and bam, there it was. I screamed, shut the door and refused to get out. Doug just laughed and didn’t come to my rescue but thankfully Michael, king of awesome came over and saved me from it. After the snake incident I was bitten by a tick and sank in the mud in flip flops. Even despite all of that I had a great time shooting engagement pictures for this awesome couple. Michael is really laid back and a fun guy to be around ( I mean, lets face it, he saved me from that mean huge cobra) and I’ve known Kayla for a while and every time we get to meet up with her its always a complete pleasure. The couple had some great spots chosen and the sunlight was absolutely perfect. We also got to include their adorable little dog in the shots, anytime people include their pets in photos I always completely love it. We are really glad we were able to have great weather and conditions for this shoot, really looking forward to their fall wedding!
