We had a weekend off from weddings two weeks ago so that I could do a little travel but we got right back into our back to back to back wedding season with the wedding of Kim and Luke. From here on out our summer is pretty much madness and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We were so honored to spend the day with Kim and Luke and their families! It was a great day and even though the rain threatened our outdoor plans we were able to luck out and get all of the outdoor photos in that we wanted! Kim and Luke are just a genuine, wholesome couple and I got this really awesome sense that they find “home” in each other. They are a perfect match! We overheard some great stories about Kim and Luke and their relationship and it was great to see how family oriented they were. We started the morning with hair and makeup at a local salon in Newton and Kim was very relaxed and happy. We had the chance again to shoot in the beautiful St. Thomas Church and we love all of the natural light and windows that the church provides. We got enough time and cooperative weather to squeeze in some outdoor photos before the ceremony. Post ceremony we took some fun outdoor photos in the downtown Newton area and then headed to the reception at the Newton KC Hall. Kim had a beautiful cake and we enjoyed some special speeches and traditions the family and bridal party participated into. I want to say a special shout out to Kim and Luke’s amazing bridal party, the groomsmen had me laughing literally all day long. They honored Kim at the wedding reception by singing this AMAZING song (in perfect harmony, no joke) and everyone was floored by their talents. The entire bridal party as just a hoot the entire day, I laughed quite a bit. We also want to say a special thanks to Kayla from Kayla Elizabeth Photography who again provided her second shooting assistance and captured some really great shots of the day. We have included some in our blog, enjoy! Thank you Kim and Luke for allowing us the honor of photographing your special day!
