I think its safe to say that Leah and Brock got “the weekend” coveted by fall photo seeking brides, families, seniors, and pretty much everyone everywhere. Every year people literally email us and say “I want to schedule my photos when the leave are at their peak- not before, not after.” Well, being as how future prediction isn’t my talent (dress bustling is though) we literally can only GUESS as to when the leaves are gonna be “on.” Well, this was the weekend and we couldn’t be happier that it chose Brock and Leah, two of the most in love, nicest people on the planet. We started the morning at Swagger salon where Leah had stunning makeup completed and an elegant up do for her bridal look. We headed to Christ’s Church in Effingham to prepare for the ceremony. Although the wedding party thought my enthusiasm for the wedding was a little questionable we headed out into photographer happy land, foggy cloudy warm water with rich fall color. Can’t say enough about Leah’s bridesmaids, these veil tossing troopers braved some pretty intense winds to take outdoor formals and help toss Leah’s veil out and about. They also assisted with ensuring her dress stayed nice and dry, thanks ladies! Also thanks to Burklands for the amazing bouquets! We did outdoor and indoor photos in the morning thanks to the nice schedule Leah had planned. The ceremony went beautifully as Brock pretty much made everyone in the audience want to bawl as he beautifully stated his vows to Leah in front of the amazing backdrop provided by Walnut Street Weddings. This ceremony was literally full of special and adorable moments, it was obvious to us how bonded these families are and how deep Brock and Leah care for each other and their family and friends. Once the ceremony was over we wrapped up and headed over to visit the grandmother of the bride, a beautiful woman with infectious laughter who joyfully toasted the couple in their new marriage. Watching all of these family members interacting with this amazing woman was such an honor for me to witness, family comes first with these guys and that was evident all day. We headed to an absolutely wonderful outdoor location for some photos in the perfect light and amazing tree color. It’s the kind of day and couple photographers dream about. We then headed to the Village Wine Shop downtown and enjoyed some socialization on the rooftop and a few more photos. We then headed to the Keller Convention Center where Amanda and her team had done a beautiful job decorating the banquet hall and Leah and Brock were introduced to a room full of loved ones by the DJ confidence of Complete Music who always does a great job managing the evening. We enjoyed another fantastic meal by the staff at Keller Convention Center and watched as Leah and Brock danced the night away with their packed dance floor. We are so happy this couple had a great day, we were honored to share it with them and be their stalkers for the day. We are wrapping up our Fall 2017 wedding season with ONE more in November (next weekend we actually get to ATTEND a wedding, not sure what we’ll do with ourselves) and I wrap up the season shooting my little cousin’s wedding in December. Stay tuned, its not over yet!
Congrats Leah and Brock- may you be this in love always, the rest of your lives!
