Megan and Drew | Wedding @ Tuscan Hills Winery, Effingham IL

We bring you this evening the wedding of Megan and Drew. We were really looking forward to once again shooting at the beautiful Tuscan Hills Winery in Effingham where their stunning grounds and intimate setting create the perfect atmosphere for a wedding ceremony and reception. I was especially excited that Megan’s photographer friendly schedule allowed me ample time to take a LOT of portraits. Because they did a first look and had a later start than normal to their wedding ceremony (which we LOVED) we were able to get in a large variety of portraits at the Firefly Grill and on the grounds of the winery. A big thank you to the staff at the Firefly for accommodating us and allowing us to be on their beautiful property. We started the morning at the Holiday Inn in Effingham where hair and makeup were done in a really relaxed environment. We were once again reunited with the couples adorable dog, Kolby, and we enjoyed conversing with the family. Megan had chosen a stunning blush colored dress which created her classic and romantic look. We had two memorable first looks with the bride’s father and the groom (way to make us hold back tears Drew) and we had absolute perfect weather for pictures and the wedding ceremony. We had some great evening light for some post ceremony pictures and the couple was so willing to entrust us with their memories! There were so many details about the wedding that I loved but I must specifically comment on the the beautiful yellow diamond engagement ring and wedding ring that Megan wore. I won’t lie, I might have wanted to take off with it. We loved how the couple laughed with us all day even at our lame jokes and silliness. Drew has such a great sense of humor and we felt a kinship with the couple as they are just in love with their dog as we are with our Charlie Key. It was such a great day and we were so glad we had perfect weather! Congrats Drew and Megan, we wish you many years of wedded bliss!
