Molly and Brady | Wedding @ Artisan Building, Springfield IL

We headed up north to Springfield, IL for the wedding of Molly and Brady. It was an absolutely perfect day for weather as it was a cool 70 degrees, slightly breezy with large clouds in the sky giving us some soft and beautiful light. We started the morning with hair and makeup in the bridal suite where Molly and her friends together created her amazing bridal hair (seriously, her hair is amazing). Molly chose this beautiful and theme fitting unique dress which I feel in love with because it was a beautiful fit, awesome material, and it fit her theme perfectly. The challenge with today’s weddings is that brides feel pressure, most commonly thanks to Pinterest, to try and incorporate as many themes as possible into their big day. Molly absolutely stuck to and completely nailed her theme down to the last detail and that is one of the things that made this wedding so special. We had a memorable first look at Washington Park in Springfield and were able to get in all of the outdoor bridal party formals prior to the wedding thanks to that. There were some great spots and some great light and we could have spent the entire day taking pictures out at the beautiful park. We headed to the ceremony where Molly had arranged for a special surprise for Brady, a live performance by one of their talented groomsmen as she walked down the aisle. The ceremony was very memorable and we were able to complete all remaining family pictures after the ceremony and stopping by the couple’s home so that we could get a quick shot with their adorable dog (which they are lucky I didn’t just pack that adorable dog in my car and take him home with me). From there we headed to downtown Springfield where we were able to squeeze in a few more portraits before heading to the Artisan Building on the Illinois State Fair Grounds. This is an absolutely beautiful interior complete with exposed brick and hardwood floors and Molly and Brady had gone all out in decorating this beautiful space for their reception. Complete with a cupcake buffet and a popcorn station (with tons of flavored pop corn) it is safe to say they had a very delicious reception. We enjoyed working with the couple’s DJ and wedding planner for the day and we were able to squeeze in not only some evening pictures but also a final night shot. Molly and Brady were absolutely awesome to work with and we enjoyed the day so much. We wish them many years of happiness! Congrats you guys!
