Sarah and Ben | Engagement @ St. Louis Botanical Gardens

What a great day we had for a St. Louis style photo shoot with Sarah and Ben! Sarah is a member of my extended family and she has found an awesome guy in Ben (who caught on to my humor right away, so that means I’m sold on the prospect of him entering the family). I love shooting photos for family because they already know what they are getting into when they ask me to shoot the wedding 🙂 I like to call it “Photographer ADHD” because my attention can go to the most interesting thing to be used for a photo even if it is a fish smelling alley in the Landing. The great thing also about shooting for family is that they have complete trust in you, even when you make them walk several blocks for a great shot. We had a blast in the St. Louis area with Sarah and Ben beginning with taking some shots at the Botanical Garden. Being a beautiful day the gardens were absolutely packed but we managed to find some beautiful blooming trees all to ourselves. Following the gardens we recreated a photo that Sarah had of her grandparents and their vehicle and then went over to Busch Stadium to show the Cardinals a little love. We ended up at the landing where we had some great evening sun. Can’t wait for their wedding in 2014, it is sure to be an awesome time! Special shout out to my awesome husband who was my lighting guru and carried a lot of my gear 🙂
