Sarah and Matt | Wedding @ St. Anthony, Effingham IL

Well my goal to post this for Sarah and Matt on Valentine’s Day got smashed by a long flight, a significant time change, and my forgetful brain. Sarah and Matt were our first wedding of 2018 and they kicked it off in style despite the cold winds and freezing conditions. We love us a good ole Teutopolis Probst Wedding and that’s what we got last weekend. We started the morning at Foxy Styles where Alisha and the wonderful ladies there created beautiful makeup and hair for Sarah and the bridal party. We specifically loved Sarah’s little flower girl who became instantly amazed at Sarah’s epic long veil. We headed over to the beautiful St. Anthony Church where we we watched Sarah transform into this glamorous, stunning bride in her amazing dress. It was so unique, I’m not sure we’ve ever had a dress quite like that before. I also think that Sarah’s flowers from Burklands were some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen for a winter wedding, they complimented her dress so well! We braved the outdoors a bit for a few before ceremony photos but spent most of our time inside snapping formals so that Matt would see Sarah for the first time when coming down the aisle. The moment arrived and Sarah made her grand entrance and Matt, well, he was pretty taken aback by her beauty and the two of them exchanged rings and vows. We love St. Anthony Church not only because it is where we married 10 years ago but it is our home church which is full of beauty and excellent light. We could shoot in there all day. We finished up family photos at the church and headed to the Mini Park in Teutopolis for some more outdoor photos. Kudos to the bridal party and couple for braving the very cold conditions and for Sarah and Matt for making several attempts to go back outside even despite the freezing temps. We always want couples to have fantastic images to commemorate the day with and we love when they understand the importance of taking “just that one last shot.” We hope they treasure these memories for years to come. We headed to the Teutopolis Banquet hall where PaLaMu did an AMAZING job draping the walls with amazing fabric and creating a beautiful backdrop fit for the wedding. Sarah and Matt’s bridal party had some amazing entrances, some hilarious speeches, and lots of love to share with the couple throughout the reception. We had a great meal by Martin’s IGA catering and watched as the couple danced the night away with their friends and loved ones. Sarah and Matt were also the first couple to experience our new videography offerings documenting just specifically the wedding ceremony and reception. We know that Josh and Doug will have some great video to return to the couple of the big day! We really enjoyed working with these two, we know they will have a fun and happy marriage. Congrats to you both!
