Taylor and Mitch | Wedding @ Olney, IL

I can’t believe I’m saying this but this is our LAST wedding of 2018 and we went out with a BANG with Taylor and Mitch. We love when we get referrals from weddings and not too long ago we were at the same church in the same town with a beautiful couple and this is how we met Taylor and Mitch. While we didn’t know how awesome they were then, we certainly know now. How very easy it was to photograph them because they are just naturally and genuinely happy together and true best friends. It’s refreshing to see such a loving family. We started the morning with hair where Taylor was accompanied by her bridal party for hair and makeup. She chose an absolutely beautiful dress and even some fabulous glitter shoes. They chose the most beautiful day to get married as the trees were at peak perfection and although we had some beautiful sunshine throughout the day, we were just as excited to photograph the whole bridal party after the wedding in this beautiful low light shade that can only come as the result of nearing a time change, talk about the perfect calm stillness of fall! Taylor had incorporated some beautiful touches into her wedding day including a really cool globe guest book, a fire truck exit and escort to the reception, and even fireman cufflinks for her groom! It was very cool that the groom was a firefighter because they pulled out all the stops to help him celebrate his big day by even running an announcement over the speakers congratulating the new couple on their wedding. The wedding ceremony was full of sweet laughter and genuine moments and when the couple could finally take that deep married breath we were off enjoying the beautiful weather outside. We had a very easy time photographing these two because they had so much fun and they were so laid back. We were headed to the reception in Olney where the couple did their grand entrance, cut their cake, and were greeted by some awesome tacos and an ice cream bar. I think guests really enjoyed this wedding with all it’s food and fun! The couple did some beautiful first dances and then Mitch had a surprise for his new bride during the garter toss (see below) complete with assistance from his groomsmen/fireman/honorary fireman. Overall this was an incredible day with a very cool couple. What I love about our job is that we can get in the car after a long wedding day and say “yeah those two were awesome we could hang out with them all the time.” It’s one of the best feelings on the planet. This was an incredibly busy but rewarding wedding season, we met so many new people and had so many awesome experiences. We can’t wait for 2019.

Cheers,

-The Keys
