Wes and Amy | Wedding Reception @ Tuscan Hills Winery in Effingham, IL

Round two! Two weeks after their amazing wedding in the LA area we are back in Illinois for a good ole reception! I was really looking forward to this Sunday because in rare form, with the exception of the reception, I took the entire day off! Wes and Amy had just gotten back from their honeymoon and it was time to deliver their wedding photos and trailer! We started off Sunday morning with an amazing crepes breakfast at their house followed by some wedding photo viewing and time with Amy’s family. Best thing about this wedding reception was that Wes and Amy BOTH made their own wedding cake. Doug and I watched nervously as Wes assembled his own cake at the winery and were amazed at the results (look for yourself, incredible!). We actually had even had the chance to taste several “test cakes” that Wes had made earlier in the year. Both of them did an amazing job in its creation and it tasted as good as it looked. I loved this reception because not only was it a chance for Doug and I to relax and hang out with our good friends there were also some great opportunities for photos. Amy’s mom couldn’t make the reception so we arranged a FaceTime meeting with her mom so that she could see how amazing Amy looked at her second reception. The sun setting gave some perfect light for multiple family photos and we enjoyed the chill time. Great to hang out with our friends and Wes and Amy’s families! Glad we are able to share some of the photos with you all!
