Katelin and Blake | Wedding @ Teutopolis, IL

Last Saturday was one of those rare, perfect summer days in June where its 75 degrees, breezy, sunny with large fluffy clouds diffusing the amazing light and it was an epic day for pictures. These are the kind of days that keep photographers from going back inside. We were thankful to have the wedding of Katelin and Blake on this day and we are so happy they got a beautiful day. We started the morning at Bladez Salon in Effingham where Katelin and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day. It’s always nice knowing the family as well as some of the bridesmaids and we loved how much fun they all had together getting ready for the wedding day. We headed to the church in Teutopolis where we filmed and shot Katelin’s beautiful and elegant dress and details. The bride looked absolutely stunning in her epic long veil (hooray!) and her amazing dress, I couldn’t hide my excitement at getting to spend some time outside that morning before the ceremony got started. We were able to take so many photos outside before the wedding its as well worth it because the wedding, the clouds and everything was perfect. The ceremony went beautifully and Katelin and Blake were so happy coming out of church to see their many well wishing guests. We headed to this spectacular picture spot and were able to capture some great portraits in our time there before heading to the reception at the Teutopolis KC Hall. The couple’s entertainment was provided by Theron Poe from Koth Productions and the couple entered the wedding reception in grand fashion. Katelin and Blake had so many beautiful details of the reception (provided by Walnut Street Weddings), they really turned the KC Hall into a beautiful and magical place. Niemerg’s served another amazing meal and the couple greeted their guests before the dances started. We watched bridesmaids wipe tears as the couple completed their first dance and started dancing the night away. As a special treat, the couple and their guests got to enjoy fireworks to celebrate their union and we were more than happy to take some awesome fireworks shots. We were also happy that we were able to catch the final opportunity for some sunset shots!
