I don’t even know where to begin on the wedding of Sarah and Curt. We were looking forward to this wedding for a long time! We started the wedding day at Mainly You Salon in Teutopolis where the amazing team of hair stylists created beautiful looks for the girls. My friend, Loren Dreas did an amazing job on the bridal makeup (as she always does) and then it was off to the Austin Mansion for the wedding and reception. I can’t say enough about this place. I have been fascinated with it ever since I was little and I knew that the interior of the house would be AMAZING for photography and I was NOT disappointed. The entire house is just a treasure. So many unique features and beautiful windows and furniture I was immediately in love with the possibilities for photos. Sarah had chosen a beautiful gown and had an amazing room to get ready in. One of the sweetest things I have ever seen is that Curt had filled her bridal suite with bags and bags of paper cranes, all hand folded, with a note that indicated he had folded one for every day from their first date until the date she moved to be near him. The entire room was in awe staring at the 300+ multi colored cranes. Curt, you are 100 percent awesome. Billi and her team at Walnut Street Weddings did a flawless job throwing the event and coordinating all of the details. The ceremony took place on the lawn with the historic home in the backdrop along with beautiful vintage doors from The Odd Bin. The ceremony was beautiful and Sarah and Curt exited down the aisle to tossed sprinkles. Sarah is a pastry chef by day and she not only created these amazing little deserts for her wedding reception she also made her own cake! This couple was just truly incredible! We had the opportunity to take bridal party pictures on the beautiful grounds and the couple got to enjoy a little mingling at cocktail hour. The reception was DJ’d by Walnut Street Weddings who had the crowd on the dance floor the entire reception. The weather was absolutely perfect and the sunset was phenomenal from the mansion grounds. I probably could have taken pictures in just about every spot of the mansion! The meal was catered by IGA and they did such a wonderful job and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything about this wedding was just wonderful and the schedule was perfect for allowing ample time for pictures. It was so nice being in one spot not having to worry about lost time in transportation and I felt that it allowed Sarah and Curt more time with their guests. I genuinely hope that this local treasure continues to host weddings and be a backdrop to new and happy memories. Many thanks to Walnut Street Weddings for hosting such an organized event and for welcoming us with open arms. Congrats Sarah and Curt, you both are amazing and we are so happy you trusted us with your wedding day!
