Sherry and Jim | Wedding @ Thelma Keller Convention Center, Effingham IL

We love us a good ole wedding full of family love and that’s what we got with Sherry and Jim last weekend. This couple has been through a lot over the past year to get to this big day and we were happy that they got a beautiful day with their family and friends to share it with. While we didn’t get a long chance to get to know them over their engagement, we instantly loved them and their infectious happiness on their wedding day. We started the morning with Sherry, her mom, and her aunt at the hair salon where we told local stories and found out how we all knew each other through mutual friends and family members (the benefit of living in a small town) and we listened to Sherry talk about Jim and their relationship and we knew just listening to her this couple was very special. Jim surprised Sherry with beautiful flowers at the salon to celebrate their big day! Sherry finished up hair and makeup and headed to the Keller Convention Center to get ready for the big reveal to her groom. She wore a BEAUTIFUL dress with a killer train and Jim was all smiles when he saw her for the first time. We knew family was really important to Sherry and Jim and we loved their big bridal party and their wonderful family as we were taking family photos. All of the kids in the wedding were totally adorable and it’s safe to say the couple’s son stole the show during the wedding ceremony. We headed to do outdoor photos before the wedding ceremony and found ourselves a nice spot in the shade for our big group but we were also able to utilize some more open space for the couple’s photos because it was such a beautiful day! We headed back to the convention center for the ceremony where Sherry and Jim had a very intimate, beautiful wedding ceremony in front of close family and friends. The Keller Convention Center did an outstanding job decorating for the reception and executing a great meal and a seamless event. The cakes and cupcakes by Jo’s Fantastic Cakes were a huge hit and looked amazing and the couple enjoyed the reception events organized by Complete Music. We loved the dance floor at this wedding because the kids of the wedding were just as cute as ever running around with their dance moves and the couple’s son was pretty much entertaining my camera the entire reception. It was a joy to shoot this special day and we loved working with the couple and their family. We know they will have a beautiful family and a wonderful marriage together. Congrats Sherry and Jim!
