Brooke and Seth | Wedding @ St. Thomas Church Newton, IL

Wedding number TWO of our double header weekend was the wedding of Brooke and Seth. I had been looking forward to this for a long time because I haven’t had ANYONE make me laugh as hard as Seth had us laughing during the engagement session. Both of them have such a great sense of humor we knew we were in for a fun day. We started the day with a torrential downpour during Brooke’s hair and makeup but thankfully the clouds passed and made way for a beautiful day! Brooke had Katie (prior Florida bride of ours and professional hair ninja) complete her hair and makeup in literally the fastest and most beautiful job ever (seriously, she’s amazing). We had ample time for some great bridal portraits in the church and it helps that the St. Thomas Church in Newton is so amazing and beautiful. We absolutely LOVE shooting there because of all of its natural light and modern details. The ceremony went beautifully and as a surprise to the couple they had a fire truck get away vehicle ready for them! We got to take some great shots on the truck with enjoyed the moments. We headed to Sam Par State Park where the sunflowers were fully in bloom and although it was a little damp from the morning rain, Brooke was a trooper. She is such a fun spirit and she had a blast standing in my flip flops in the sunflower field. The reception was really unique with a lot of personal touches and great decor. They even had a pop corn machine! It was such a blast with such a fun couple that in almost every photo I took that day are either laughing or smiling. We wish you both all the best!
